Topic:

An examination of the circumstances behind the barrage of legal challenges to many generic agricultural commodity checkoff programs in the last decade.  What are the underlying causes of discontent among the grassroots beneficiaries of these programs and why are disgruntled producers resorting to lawsuits claiming a violation of the First Amendment? 

 

Format:

Each panelist will speak for about 5 minutes.  After all the panelists have spoken, the audience will have a chance to ask questions.
